India Participates in Copa CONTIGO Internacional, Celebrating Sport and Community Engagement
The Ambassador attended the Copa CONTIGO Internacional, an event organized by the Government of Querétaro under the leadership of Governor Mauricio Kuri González, bringing together communities through sport and cultural exchange.
The tournament provided an opportunity to support Team India, represented by members of the Indian diaspora in Querétaro, highlighting the important role of overseas Indian communities in strengthening people-to-people connections abroad.
During the event, the Ambassador also met Mayor Felipe Macías and acknowledged efforts to promote inclusion, community engagement and international friendship through sporting initiatives.
The celebration reflected the values of unity, cooperation and cultural understanding, while reinforcing the growing ties between India and Mexico ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
