The Indian Cultural Center in Lima will host a special programme titled “The Importance of the Bhagavad Gita in Today’s World – A Spiritual Guide for the Modern Age”, offering participants an opportunity for reflection, spiritual connection, and deeper engagement with one of India’s most enduring philosophical texts.
The event will explore the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and their relevance to contemporary life, highlighting how its messages continue to provide guidance on balance, clarity, and ethical living in an increasingly complex world. The programme aims to foster inner reflection while promoting intercultural understanding through India’s spiritual heritage.
The agenda includes a recitation from the Bhagavad Gita, mantra meditation, and the sharing of prasadam, creating a holistic experience that nurtures the mind, heart, and spirit. These elements are designed to introduce participants to both the philosophical depth and the lived spiritual traditions associated with the Gita.
The programme will take place on Friday, 23 January, at 4:00 p.m. at the Indian Cultural Center, located at Av. Salaverry 3006, San Isidro, Lima. Participation is open to the public, with free admission available until full capacity is reached.
Through such initiatives, the Indian Cultural Center continues to promote cultural exchange and spiritual dialogue, reinforcing the universal relevance of Indian philosophical traditions and their resonance across cultures and societies.
