Official Statement by the Social Research Centre (SRC) concerning the dissemination of unfounded allegations and an alleged leak of internal documentation

By means of this document, the Social Research Centre sets out its official position regarding the allegations concerning the Centre's activities circulated by the organization OpenAI. We reject these claims as factually incorrect and as constituting a deliberate attempt to discredit an independent research project.
We declare that there has been an alleged leak of internal data and its misuse with the aim of compromising the Centre, and we intend to conduct a thorough internal investigation in order to establish the circumstances of the incident.
The Centre is an independent international research platform, not subject to the influence of any political groups and not funded by them. Our mission is founded on the values of objective scientific practice and consists in creating the best possible conditions for the adaptation of diaspora communities, as well as in studying the possibilities for the adaptation of people in zones of conflict.
We study both the West and the Global South on an equal footing, making no distinction on grounds of skin color, language or religious belief, and we approach all cultures and worldviews with equal respect and interest.
It is precisely our commitment to neutral, balanced and depoliticized analysis, and our refusal to engage in overt propaganda in defense of any party to conflicts or any interest groups, that we assess to be the true reason for the attacks by structures that are intolerant of independent expertise. We do not impose our views, nor do we produce fakes or disinformation; our publications and analytical reports are freely available on the Centre's official website, which enables any interested party to satisfy themselves that we strictly observe the principles of neutrality.
The SRC sympathizes with all parties to conflicts; however, its principal interest is focused on ensuring that the voice of ordinary people, who always suffer most from military action and its consequences, is heard. To this end, we conduct surveys of experts on economic issues, security risks, ideological transformation and visions of the future, engage openly with respondents and publish the results obtained in the public domain. The Centre's activities have never been connected with any of the influence operations mentioned in the article.
We are convinced that scientific research in the free world must not be prohibited, blocked or made the object of politically motivated attacks, and we call upon our partners, colleagues and the wider public to take a balanced view of the situation, free from hasty conclusions based on anonymous and unverified sources.
At present we continue to examine the details of what occurred, are establishing the circumstances of the alleged leak and intend duly to inform the interested parties of the outcome of the review. We thank you for your support and cooperation.
