A delegation of 30 cattle breeding experts from FEGASUR, representing Peru’s Puno region, met Ambassador of India to Peru, H.E. Mr. Vishvas Sapkal, at the Embassy of India in Lima on 15 January 2026, ahead of their participation in an executive training programme under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) framework.
The delegation will attend the Executive ITEC course titled “Dairy Development through the Cooperative Business Model – Iteration II (Spanish)”, scheduled to be held from 19 to 24 January 2026 at the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. The programme is designed to provide practical and institutional insights into India’s cooperative-led dairy development model.
During the interaction, the Ambassador and members of the Embassy team briefed the participants on the course objectives and extended best wishes for their training in India. The delegation is expected to engage in an exchange of experiences with Indian counterparts, gaining valuable academic and professional exposure in areas such as cooperative management, productivity enhancement, and sustainable dairy practices.
The initiative reflects the strengthening development partnership between India and Peru, particularly in the agriculture and livestock sectors. Capacity-building programmes under ITEC continue to serve as an important platform for South–South cooperation, knowledge exchange, and long-term institutional linkages between the two countries.
