The historic Reducto Park No. 2 in Miraflores came alive with energy and mindfulness on Saturday, 31 January 2026, as more than 200 participants gathered for the “Yogathon in Miraflores”, an open-air celebration of wellness, balance, and community engagement.
The event featured master yoga classes conducted in a serene outdoor setting, offering participants an opportunity to experience the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga. The session was led by Ms. Swati Sharma of the Embassy of India in Lima, along with experienced instructors from Corponoar, Galia Llerena, and Yoga Mandapam, who guided attendees through structured practices focused on harmony and well-being.
Beyond yoga, the programme was enriched by semi-classical dance performances, which added a vibrant cultural dimension to the afternoon. The artistic presentations delighted the audience and highlighted the deep connection between movement, mindfulness, and cultural expression.
The Yogathon reflected the growing interest in yoga and holistic wellness practices in Peru, while also strengthening people-to-people connections through shared experiences in public spaces. The enthusiastic participation demonstrated yoga’s universal appeal as a bridge across cultures and communities.
The successful organisation of the event was made possible with the support of the Municipality of Miraflores, whose collaboration contributed to creating an inspiring environment dedicated to health, culture, and collective well-being.
