The Embassy of India in Mexico, in collaboration with the India-Mexico Council, successfully hosted a Buyers-Sellers Meet for Indian and Mexican businesses in the plastics sector. The event, organized by Plexconcil and ANIPAC_AC, saw the presence of Ms. Marlene Fragoso Guillen, President of ANIPAC, and Mr. Vikram Bhadauria, Chairman of Plexconcil.
A delegation of Indian plastic businesses participated in the meet and will also attend Plastimagen 2025, further strengthening trade ties between the two nations. India and Mexico continue to enhance cooperation in trade, energy, and culture, with bilateral trade steadily increasing since 2007. In 2023, India exported $6.72 billion worth of goods to Mexico, including cars and broadcasting equipment, while importing $2.04 billion worth of crude oil.
The India-Mexico Trade Council plays a key role in fostering economic relations by providing market intelligence, organizing investment pitch sessions, and supporting business development. Additionally, multiple bilateral agreements, including those on science, technology, and taxation, have facilitated stronger economic cooperation.
The Buyers-Sellers Meet marks another step in expanding business opportunities between India and Mexico, reflecting the growing economic partnership between the two nations.
