Ambassador Ajaneesh Kumar Continues Visit to Salta Province, Meets Authorities and Indian Community
Continuing his official visit to the Province of Salta, Ambassador of India to Argentina, H.E. Ajaneesh Kumar, held a series of high-level meetings with provincial leaders and engaged closely with the Indian community in the region.

The Ambassador was received by the President and Vice President of Energa y Minera de Salta S.A. (REMSA), the provincial energy and mining company, where discussions centered on opportunities for collaboration in resource development, investment, and sustainable practices. His visit underlined Indias interest in partnering with Salta, a province recognized for its rich mineral resources and emerging role in the global energy transition.

He later met with Martn de los Ros Plaza, Minister of Production and Sustainable Development of Salta, accompanied by Andrea Romina Sassarini, Secretary of Mining and Energy. The meeting provided a platform to explore potential cooperation in areas such as mining technology, renewable energy, and environmentally sustainable production. This engagement highlighted how provincial governments in Argentina can play a vital role in deepening bilateral economic ties with India.

The Ambassador also held discussions with Lic. Lorena Trovato, Undersecretary of Knowledge Economy, reflecting Indias commitment to fostering partnerships in innovation, skills, and technology-driven growth. Such exchanges are expected to open pathways for collaboration in knowledge industries that can benefit both Salta and India.

Later in the day, Ambassador Kumar visited the town of Rosario de la Frontera, home to the largest concentration of the Indian community in Argentina, particularly Sikhs. He was warmly received by the Mayor, Mr. Kuldeep Singh, himself a prominent representative of the local Indian diaspora. The Ambassadors visit underscored the strong cultural and emotional bonds that connect India with its overseas community.

On the following morning, Ambassador Kumar paid his respects at Gurdwara Nanak Sarji, where he interacted with members of the Sikh community. His presence was both symbolic and personal, reaffirming the Embassys support for the diaspora and acknowledging their contributions to Argentine society while maintaining enduring ties with India.
