India was accorded the distinction of Guest of Honor Country at the IV International Meeting of Los Ros, held in Valdivia from October 9-12 2025. The event brought together representatives from government, academia, and industry to promote global cooperation in innovation, culture, and sustainable development.

Ambassador of India to Chile, H.E. Abhilasha Joshi, and Second Secretary represented India’s dynamic participation, highlighting the nations growing partnership with Chile across diplomacy, technology, academia, and culture. The Indian delegation showcased collaborative opportunities in renewable energy, digital innovation, and higher education, alongside cultural exchanges that celebrated India’s heritage and diversity.

India’s recognition as Guest of Honor reflects the deepening ties between the two countries and underscores their shared commitment to advancing South-South cooperation and knowledge-based partnerships in Latin America.
