As part of its outreach with key maritime nations, the Indian Navy hosted a 40-member delegation from Escola de Guerra Naval (Naval War College) – EGN, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at Naval Headquarters, New Delhi, from November 17 to 19, 2025.
During the visit, the delegation toured the National War Memorial and the National Defence College and received an overview of India’s strategic imperatives from a combined team representing HQIDS and the Indian Navy. The delegation, led by Rear Admiral Gustavo Leite Cypriano Neves, Commandant of EGN, also called on Rear Admiral Sachin Sequeira, ACOP (HRD). Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral training cooperation in the maritime domain.
The visit highlights the growing partnership between the Indian and Brazilian armed forces and reflects their shared commitment to enhancing maritime security, professional collaboration, and defense diplomacy.
