The Embassy of India in Santiago organized the India–Chile Tourism Promotion Event at the National Chamber of Commerce (CNC) in collaboration with CAMINDIA, bringing together key public and private stakeholders to explore how tourism can further deepen bilateral ties.
The programme featured engaging presentations from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and the Latin American & Caribbean Travel & Tourism Expo (LATTE), highlighting opportunities to strengthen tourism linkages between India and Latin America. On the Chilean side, the participation of SERNATUR, CAMINDIA, Fundación Chile, and leading tour operators reflected strong institutional and industry interest in expanding cooperation.
Discussions focused on promoting wellness and sustainable tourism, fostering cultural exchanges, and increasing tourist flows between the two countries. The interaction also opened new avenues for collaboration across the tourism ecosystem, including partnerships, knowledge sharing, and industry engagement.
The event also highlighted LATTE Expo 2026, scheduled for September in New Delhi, which aims to strengthen connections between tourism stakeholders in India and Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Embassy expressed sincere appreciation to all participants and partners for their valuable contributions, reaffirming the growing India–Chile partnership built on cultural exchange and cooperation.
