The Embassy of India in Santiago had the pleasure of taking part in the IV Poetic Recital: Gabriela Mistral in the Languages of the World, an event that celebrated Chiles most iconic literary voice. On this occasion, the Embassy presented a Hindi recitation of one of Mistrals renowned poems, offering a heartfelt homage to the Chilean Nobel Prize laureate. By carrying her verses into the rhythm and sound of Hindi, the performance highlighted how poetry transcends borders, resonating across languages and cultures.
The recital, hosted at Chiles Ministry of Foreign Affairs, brought together a distinguished gathering of artists, diplomats, and policymakers. It was graced by the presence of Chiles Minister of Culture, Carolina Arredondo @_caroarredondo, and Minister of Education, Nicols Cataldo @nico_cataldo, alongside ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps. Their participation reflected the importance Chile places on cultural exchange as a tool for fostering international understanding.
