India and Brazil Hold 7th Trade Monitoring Mechanism Meeting

Commerce Secretary Shri Rajesh Agrawal co-chaired the 7th Meeting of the IndiaBrazil Trade Monitoring Mechanism (TMM) with Ms. Tatiana Prazeres, Secretary of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services of Brazil, in New Delhi on 7 October 2025.

The discussions underscored the growing momentum in IndiaBrazil trade and investment relations, highlighting both nationsshared vision to diversify economic engagement and expand sectoral cooperation. Key focus areas included facilitating market access, promoting business partnerships, addressing trade bottlenecks, and exploring opportunities in emerging industries such as digital technology, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, and agri-business.

Both sides reviewed progress made under existing bilateral frameworks and exchanged perspectives on strengthening institutional coordination to create a more enabling environment for investors and exporters. The meeting also reaffirmed the importance of sustained dialogue between governments and industry stakeholders to unlock the full potential of the bilateral economic partnership.

The 7th TMM meeting served as another milestone in advancing IndiaBrazil economic cooperation, reinforcing the shared commitment to building a resilient, inclusive, and forward-looking trade relationship that supports innovation and sustainable growth.
