India and Santa Catarina Discuss Expanding Economic Cooperation
Ambassador Dinesh Bhatia met with Marilisa Boehm, Vice-Governor of the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, to discuss opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation between India and the state. The meeting reflected the shared interest in expanding bilateral engagement through closer trade and investment partnerships.

The discussion focused on identifying areas of mutual economic interest and promoting stronger collaboration between Indian businesses and Santa Catarina. As one of Brazil's leading industrial and export-oriented states, Santa Catarina offers significant potential for cooperation in sectors such as manufacturing, agribusiness, technology, and innovation.

The interaction highlights India's continued engagement with Brazil's state governments to foster regional partnerships and create new avenues for commercial cooperation. Strengthening ties at the subnational level can complement the broader India-Brazil strategic partnership and contribute to long-term economic growth for both sides.
