The Embassy of India in Bogotá conducted a Yoga programme for the second batch of physical activity trainers from the Instituto Distrital de Recreación y Deporte (IDRD), with 31 participants successfully completing the programme.
The classes provided participants with an opportunity to learn and practise Yoga while gaining an understanding of its holistic approach to health and well-being. Through guided sessions, participants were introduced to Yoga as a practice that combines physical fitness with mental well-being and overall wellness.
The programme highlighted the growing role of Yoga in promoting healthy and balanced lifestyles and offered participants practical experience that can contribute to their work in physical activity and community wellness. The initiative also reflects the Embassy’s efforts to share India’s rich Yoga tradition and its universal message of health, harmony and well-being with communities in Colombia.
The successful completion of the second batch underscores the continued interest in Yoga and its potential to support physical and mental wellness through accessible and holistic practices.
