The Embassy of India in Bogotá organised a workshop on Bharatanatyam, introducing participants to the grace, rhythm and rich cultural heritage of one of India’s most celebrated classical dance traditions.
The workshop offered more than thirty enthusiastic participants an opportunity to learn about and experience the distinctive movements, expressions and rhythmic elements of Bharatanatyam. The session highlighted the depth of India’s classical arts and their ability to connect audiences across cultures through dance and storytelling.
The Embassy expressed its gratitude to Ms. Savitri for sharing her expertise and passion for Bharatanatyam with the participants. Her guidance helped provide an engaging introduction to this centuries-old Indian classical dance form while encouraging greater appreciation of India’s artistic and cultural heritage.
The initiative reflects the Embassy’s continued efforts to promote Indian culture in Colombia and strengthen people-to-people connections through cultural exchange. Such programmes provide an important platform for audiences in Colombia to discover India’s diverse artistic traditions and foster greater understanding between the two countries.
