India Calls for Action-Oriented Multilateralism at Pre-COP30 Ministerial in Braslia
Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav, participated in the Pre-COP30 Ministerial Roundtable held in Braslia, Brazil. The meeting brought together global leaders to set the tone for the upcoming COP30 climate conference.

In his address, Shri Yadav underscored that as the world marks a decade since the Paris Agreement, COP30 must reaffirm collective faith in multilateralism, equity, and measurable climate action that benefits both people and the planet. He emphasized that India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, continues to lead by example through domestic and international initiatives promoting sustainable growth and cooperative climate solutions.

Highlighting Indias priorities, the Minister called for COP30 to be the COP of Adaptation,with an enhanced focus on climate finance, capacity building, and locally grounded solutions that empower communities. His remarks reflected Indias consistent commitment to inclusive, action-oriented, and balanced climate diplomacy.
