Indian Ambassador Meets Mexico’s Secretary of Economy to Advance Trade Cooperation
The Ambassador of India to Mexico, H.E. Mr. Pankaj Sharma, met with H.E. Mr. Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy of Mexico, to review and advance key priorities on the India–Mexico bilateral economic agenda.

During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues to further strengthen trade and investment ties, reaffirming their shared commitment to expanding economic cooperation between the two countries. The discussions focused on enhancing commercial exchanges, facilitating greater business engagement, and deepening collaboration in strategic sectors of mutual interest.

Secretary Marcelo Ebrard later noted the positive momentum in India–Mexico relations and indicated that discussions would continue at the upcoming World Trade Organization (WTO) meeting in Cameroon, where he is scheduled to meet with India’s Minister of Commerce. He expressed confidence that trade and investment relations between the two nations will continue to grow.

The engagement reflects the steady strengthening of India–Mexico economic partnership and underscores the importance both countries attach to sustained dialogue at ministerial and diplomatic levels.
