India in Peru Marks Countdown to International Day of Yoga with Coastal Session
With seventy-five days to go for the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026, the Embassy of India in Lima organized a refreshing yoga session by the sea at Playa Sombrillas along the Costa Verde, in coordination with Kamoho Canoes and Kamala Yoga.

Held in a serene coastal setting, the session brought together nearly 100 yoga enthusiasts who gathered early in the morning to practice breathing techniques, relaxation exercises, and guided postures while enjoying the calm ocean environment.

The session was led by Ms. Swati Sharma, Teacher of Indian Culture, who guided participants through a balanced and energizing routine, highlighting yoga’s benefits for physical well-being, mental clarity, and inner balance.

The event reflects the growing popularity of yoga in Peru and the Embassy’s continued efforts to promote wellness and cultural exchange. It also builds momentum toward International Day of Yoga 2026, encouraging wider community participation in holistic health practices.
