India–Guatemala Explore Cooperation in Disaster Preparedness and Scientific
Collaboration
Ambassador H.E. Raj Kumar Singh met with representatives of INSIVUMEH to discuss
avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation in scientific and technical domains.
The interaction focused on areas of mutual interest, particularly enhancing
collaboration in disaster management and resilience. The Embassy highlighted India’s
experience and offered support in developing early warning systems, which play a
critical role in mitigating the impact of natural disasters.
Discussions also covered educational opportunities, including specialized training
programmes in India aimed at building technical capacity and expertise. Both sides
recognized the importance of knowledge exchange and skill development in
strengthening institutional capabilities.
The meeting reflected a shared commitment to advancing cooperation in disaster
preparedness, contributing to sustainable development and resilience-building efforts
in Guatemala, while further strengthening India–Guatemala relations.
