External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held discussions with Prime Minister Kamla
Persad-Bissessar and members of her Cabinet for a comprehensive review of bilateral
relations between India and Trinidad and Tobago.
The meeting focused on advancing commitments made during Prime Minister
Narendra Modi’s engagement with Trinidad and Tobago last year, while also exploring
new ideas and initiatives to further expand cooperation between the two countries.
The dialogue reflects the longstanding partnership between India and Trinidad and
Tobago, built on shared historical ties, people-to-people connections and continued
diplomatic engagement.
The discussions are expected to contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation and
identifying new opportunities for collaboration across areas of mutual interest.
