Union Minister of State for External Affairs Shri Pabitra Margherita represented India at the inauguration ceremony of H.E. Mr. Rodrigo Paz Pereira, the newly elected President of Bolivia.
During the ceremony, Shri Margherita conveyed the warm greetings and felicitations of the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to President Paz Pereira, reaffirming India’s goodwill and friendship with the people of Bolivia.
On the sidelines, he held an interaction with President Paz Pereira, expressing India’s commitment to deepening its partnership with Bolivia in diverse areas including trade, energy, pharmaceuticals, capacity building, and culture. Both sides emphasized their shared values of democracy, development, and mutual respect in international cooperation.
India’s participation in the inauguration underlines New Delhi’s continued engagement with Latin America and its focus on strengthening relations with Bolivia, a valued partner in South America.
The event follows the recent inauguration of India’s new embassy chancery in La Paz, marking a period of renewed dynamism and collaboration in India–Bolivia ties.
