Ambassador Vishvas Sapkal Meets Peru’s Vice Minister of Culture
Ambassador of India to Peru, Vishvas Sapkal, visited the famous Uros Islands on Lake Titicaca, highlighting the region’s unique cultural heritage and sustainable tourism practices. The visit also emphasized collaboration between the Juliaca Chamber of Commerce and local municipalities to promote responsible tourism and economic development while preserving cultural heritage.

DIrung his visit Ambassador Vishvas Sapkal met with H.E. Ms. Moira Rosa Novoa Silva, Vice Minister of Culture of Peru, to discuss enhancing cultural cooperation between India and Peru.

The meeting focused on expanding cultural exchange programs, heritage preservation projects, and promoting cultural tourism. Both sides discussed opportunities for artist residencies, joint festivals, and exhibitions to foster greater people-to-people connections.

They also explored possibilities for future collaborations, including upcoming cultural festivals and artist exchange programs, aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and appreciation of each other’s rich cultural heritage.
